THE JOURNEY OF THE HEART
The Road to Emmaus is a beautiful story in Luke about connection. Two distraught disciples feeling confused and devastated were traveling along a dirt road when Jesus showed up and walked alongside them. In their pain, they were not able to recognize Him. He inquired about their state of mind. As they poured out their cares and concerns, He listened and began imparting truth that soothed their aching hearts. It wasnt until the end of their days journey when they sat down to break bread together, were they able to recognize Jesus. “They even remarked, didnt our hearts burn in His presence?” They felt His love and compassion when they were with Him.
We are wired for connection, healthy relationships and secure attachment. Your heart matters and what you are feeling and going through holds meaning and value. Our mission at Emmaus Road Ministries is for you to experience: connection with your heart, restoration of your spirit-soul-body and partnering with Jesus as he ministers reconciliation to your heart. Living fully present and at rest with yourself flows from a reconciled heart. You are God’s idea and through securely attaching to Him, you are able to create safety within your heart which fosters connection and healthy relationships. Whether you are 6, 36 or 96 we want to partner with you to foster and create safe spaces for you to experience connection with Jesus, with yourself and with others.
There are a thousand ways that Jesus brings healing to your heart; whether it is through one of our weekend life events, our heart-connection workshops, Come Home to Your Heart Bible study, worship & soaking nights or other offerings; a heart-connection journey is here for you.
We believe the world can change by strengthening families – through connection – one at a time, so Emmaus Road Ministries has partnered with Family Nests to facilitate safe spaces for healing and empowering children and families to engage in healthy relationships with each other.
By offering family coaching and child mentorship along with many other workshops and activities, we will provide the empowering perspectives needed to sift through the belief systems woven into the family nests that keep you from experiencing intimacy, connection, and safe relationships you desire with your family members.
We also believe a key to discovering your original design is when the creative in you is unlocked. Partnering with Soaring Hearts Art Studio, we offer practical hands-on tools, regardless of your age, to explore, discover and engage with your heart through creativity. Studies show that we are innately creative geniuses but life un-teaches us to be creative. Soaring Hearts is all about rising to a new level. No matter where you are in your journey, letting your childlike wonder explore and play will bring freedom and joy. The more we unlock our creativity the more we know our identity in Christ. And when that happens our hearts will soar!

Your Heart Matters
How you are experiencing life is important
We are a nonprofit ministry focused on facilitating safe spaces for the healing and restoration of people’s spirit-soul-body. We partner with Jesus to minister reconciliation to your heart enabling you to live fully alive from your true self (who God created you to be) and from a place of rest.
It matters how you feel about yourself.
Reconciliation of the heart very gently reaches into the places where you feel out of sorts or at odds with yourself and as your heart feels safe, brings them into agreement with who God says you are. There are parts of your heart that hold belief systems that keep you from moving forward, experiencing God’s love, seeing yourself as Jesus sees you and living from your true self.
Each event is planned with the purpose of equipping you to engage your heart through encounter. True transformation occurs when your relationship with Christ flows out of your knowledge and experience of Him. We can know all about Him and yet not know Him at all, lacking connection and intimacy. In Ephesians 3, Paul’s prayer for you is that you would “know Christ and experience Him.” It is our hope you leave each event truly knowing Jesus because you have “experienced” Him.

There is an artist in each one of you. It’s amazing what creative expression comes out of you as you allow yourself space and time to let it flow. Our artist will guide you through a powerful life-changing time of opening up the creativity hidden in you.

Every event is different and unique as God knows exactly who is going to be there and what each person needs. We leave the surprises up to Him and what special touch He wants to add that will touch your heart. He is intimately aware of you and your heart is an open book to Him – your heart is holy and sacred ground.

Inner healing is a key to living fully present and fully alive.
Our mission is that everyone has the opportunity to receive heart-connection healing, living with a greater understanding of and how to access their heart enabling them to live fully present, fully alive. Experiencing an encounter with Jesus would forever change their life and perspective of His love for them.
Our passion is to help people live fully connected to Jesus. We have been on our own personal journey of inner healing and know through first-hand experience the adverse effects of our own personal childhood trauma and difficult life circumstances. Walking through these situations and receiving healing has given us the tools and belief that inner healing is absolutely essential to living fully present and fully alive.
Our desire is that each person who is touched by Emmaus Road Ministries would feel refreshed, recharged and transformed by every event offered; training, conferences, community gatherings, worship nights and creative expressions. Beauty for ashes with a spiritual awakening spirit-soul-body.
We Believe
Our Core Values & Beliefs
1. You are God’s idea; created to live life at its fullest.
Not only are you God’s idea but you are God’s dream as you are His greatest reward. When you are able to grasp this truth and live it out experientially, then you can live life at its fullest.
Psalm 139:16 TPT: “ You saw who you created me to be before I became me! Before I’d ever seen the light of day, the number of days you planned for me were already recorded in your book.”
John 10:10: “A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect—life in its fullness until you overflow!”
2. When we make space for Jesus, He meets us where we are at.
Jesus loves to spend time with you. He is moved by your desire to be with Him.
Matthew 11:28-30 TPT: “Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me. For all that I require of you will be pleasant and easy to bear.”
3. Healing is available for everyone.
God’s greatest desire is to give you an inheritance of freedom.
Luke 4:18 TPT: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, and he has anointed me to be hope for the poor, freedom for the brokenhearted, and new eyes for the blind, and to preach to prisoners, ‘You are set free!’…”
4. Your heart matters.
Prov. 4:23: “So above all, guard the affections of your heart, for they affect all that you are. Pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being, for from there flows the wellspring of life.”
5. Healthy connection is possible when we love God and others as we love ourselves.
1 John 4:7-8: “Those who are loved by God, let his love continually pour from you to one another, because God is love. Everyone who loves is fathered by God and experiences an intimate knowledge of him. The one who doesn’t love has yet to know God, for God is love.”
