You are who you are because of who your heavenly Father is.

We are a child because he is Father.
We are saved because he is Savior.
We are Beloved because he is the Lover of our souls.
We are healed because he is Healer.
We are the rescued because he is Rescuer.

One of the things the Lord spoke to me was this:

“You are who you are because of who I am.”  

What beautiful truth this is, and what freedom this brings, who we are and where our identity comes from is not of ourselves, but Him.  And think about it, he is the I AM.  Put anything you need behind those two words and HE IS.

I am your rest.  (So, we are peaceful)
I am your Provider.  (So, we lack nothing)
I am your Healer. (So, we are whole)
I am your closest friend.  (So, we are never lonely)
I am your love.  (So, we are accepted and cherished for all of eternity)
I am your significance.  (So, we are powerful and useful in his hands)
I am your strength.  (So, we are very strong and courageous!)

HE IS.

What do you need from him today? He is… EVERYTHING, at any moment, any day, and in every situation.
